Front Desk, Main Inn at 4 pm. During the busy seasons, your room may not be ready until shortly after 4:30 pm. Note: Dinner is served from 6pm to 7pm in the summer.

See your package information. Checkout is usually 11 am. If so, kindly note that lunch is not served.

Rates are quoted per person (pp) based on two adults in a room, with children occupying the same room/suite as adults. Families can not occupy multiple units.

Child-free packages apply to the youngest child(ren). If youngest child is teen, the charge is 30% of the regular adult rate.

One parent family: Regular package, parent pays regular adult rate plus child’s rate and for Child-free packages, parent pays adult rate plus 20%.

Seniors Discounts apply to 65 years and over.

Adult rate is discounted when more than 2 adults occupy the same unit. 3 adults 10%, 4 adults 15%, 5 adults 20%. Not applicable in Evergreen Villa.

Overnight guests of the resort can arrange to have visitors during their stay by requesting a day pass at the Front Desk or over the phone. The same visitors can only have day passes once during your visit. Accommodations for day passes will be made based on the availability of space in the dining room. Day passes for visitors are subject to approval and cannot be guaranteed. Day passes include lunch and dinner, full use of facilities, activity programs and professional entertainment.

Day passes need to be booked at least 24 hours ahead and cannot be confirmed earlier than 2 weeks ahead. Please call to request Day Passes.

2023 Day Pass rate is $220.00+tax per adult or teen, $110.00+tax per child 4-12, $55.00 per child 3 and under. Rates are subject to change.

 

A $350 per person deposit is required with reservations 3 days or longer and $150 per person deposit is required for reservations shorter than 3 days. Deposits will be credited to accounts on the confirmed departure date.

If it is necessary for a guest to cancel a booking, the deposit will be refundable, less $50 per person service and bookkeeping charge if written notice is received by Fern 14 days prior to arrival date. Less than 14 days, the full deposit is forfeited.

Guests who depart prior to their confirmed departure date will be charged the maximum 1 day rate per day stayed and will forfeit their deposit.

Fern shall not be responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond the Resort’s control.

New for Covid-19

If Fern Resort is unable to have occupancy based on government restrictions, stay at home order, border closure, lock-down or shut down orders, Fern Resort will refund in full any deposits or full payments made on your reservation. Refunds will be issued by cheque in Canadian funds and will be sent out with 30 days of your original arrival date. If a reservation is cancelled because of an illness, Fern Resort will refund any deposits or full payments less a $50.00 per person service fee. Guests can choose to move a reservation to new dates and any deposits or full payments on the reservation will be transferred in full to the new dates.

All your meals are served in the beautiful Heritage Dining Room located in the Main Inn. During our summer packages, pool side BBQ lunch is offered in addition to a sit-down lunch in the dining room. Guests will have the luxury and convenience of having the same dining table for the duration of their stay. No reservations are needed as guests can arrive for meals within the posted times on your program.

For large families and groups, we are happy to accommodate up to 10 guests per table. Families and groups larger than 10 will have the comfort and convenience of 2 or more tables.

Smoking, including vaping, is not permitted anywhere indoors or on the balconies and decks of rooms and cottages at Fern Resort.
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas in the following locations:
A. The 1st floor balcony off the Hearthside Inn.
B. Off the pool deck behind the BBQ gazebo.
C. Across the small parking area in front of the entrance to Mary Lou’s/Bergwen’s.

Since Fern is a family resort with many children on the property, smoking cannabis is not allowed on Fern Resort property in accordance with Ontario’s Cannabis Laws regulating areas where children gather.
For medical cannabis use please inquire at the front desk.

Sorry, no personal cheques on final payment, but we do accept them for advance deposits. We accept traveller’s cheques, money orders, certified personal cheques, cash, Interac and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard).

All accounts are subject to 13% HST Harmonized Sales Tax.

Leisure bookings do not have a service charge applied. Resort Fees are included in the per person rate.

There is an Event Services Fee applied to Corporate and Group bookings.

We do not offer Weddings at Fern Resort at this time.

Yes. We offer resort-wide High Speed WiFi.

No pets are allowed on resort property. Regretfully but firmly.

Yes, from 7 am to 10 pm coin washers and dryers are available for your convenience.

Yes! Located in the Main Inn. From clothing, books, toiletries and snacks to games and souvenirs, we have everything you may need on your vacation.

Casual resort wear is in order. Appropriate attire is requested for all sports activities. No bare feet or bathing suits in the Dining Rooms and cover-ups are requested. Jackets are not necessary.

Yes. There are approximately 20 churches of many denominations in Orillia.

Upon check-in you can sign-out your pool towels at the front desk.  One they’re used, simply bring them back to the front desk and we will provide you with fresh ones.

Fern Resort welcomes guests with disabilities that require the use of a Guide Dog or Service Dog. At the time of booking, simply mention that you have a Guide Dog or Service Dog accompanying you and let us know about your disability.

Emotional Support Animals are not permitted at Fern Resort. If you are not sure whether or not you have a Service Animal or an Emotional Support Animal, please visit the AODA ‘s website for more information.
